    Trailer Prop Guard Drag Wheel

I am having trouble backing up my driveway because my prop guard drags, I have seen some rollers on the bottom of some other trailer prop guards and was wondering if anyone knew where to get them...my google search only took me to the Mastercraft site and I hate to ask anyone there-
    Thanks,

    Thanks,
I would check w/ the trailer manf. first and see if it is an option on that trailer and if so, can they be bought separately. Next, I would look at a heavy duty wheele/caster from somewhere like Northern Tool.

Same problem here. I am going to have the dealer check on it
with the trailer manufacturer. My trailer is an ezloader.

My 22IR with an extreme trailer never had that problem. Same
drive way, trailer just is lower all the way tongue to tail.

I let you know what the dealer says.

        A cheep fix

A fast and cheep fix is to use a longer drop hitch, some times dropping the tounge a few inches will raise the back enough to help.

Although you are correct, one side effect to consider is that on a tandem axle trailer, lowering the tongue can add weight/load to the front tires or rear tires if the ball is too high.

I would definitely check with the manufacturer prior to placing any aftermarket wheels or rollers. I would be concerned with the "uplift force" on the back of the trailer when the wheels come in contact with the ground. Just a thought.

Great suggestion. I wasn't even thinking about that myself.

I can't see that as an issue, you'll get the same amount of force with or without the wheels. The only difference being you'll roll instead of slide, grind and scrape.

I had a local welder fabricate these brackets. The casters are designed to go on the back of motorhomes.

I have some rollers that I got from a trailer supply place and had the trailer manufacturer install. I had a pic somewhere I just can't find it my system is similar to the white one pictured in the first site.

That would be aluminum or stainless.
