best way to end a monday......on the lake!

me and some of the guys got out on the lake this afternoon. once again, couldn't wait until the weekend. the weather was great! water was a bit chilled, but refreshing.
couple things i figured out....#1, this 21i has more than enough power; #2, i cannot wakeboard to save my life; #3, you have to feel bad for a guy when you watch his woman drive his mastercraft through the back window of his truck.

    anyway, here are some pics...

(no glass bottles next time...not sure who let those on)

yeap..canyon lake. it's our lake of choice. nice and big, and pretty calm for the most part.
i didn't have time to grab the camera while my jaw was on the floor after watching the mastercraft. we were sitting there waiting our turn to load up. they had a pickup with a camper shell thing on it. the girl came in too fast to start with, and then gased it for some reason and it just went over the tip of the trailer through the back glass of the camper. it hit hard enough to knock her off her feet in the boat.
all sausage that trip, it was kinda one of those last minute...hey, let's ditch work a couple minutes early and meet at the lake kinda deals. the last two times out i timed it down from my office, lake geared up, and on the lake in 35 minutes.
hopefully by the end of the summer i'll have that wakeboarding thing down, but it's like fighting a brick wall for me.

                since yesterday! haha.

oh yeah, also (things i figured out) #4, the stereo in the boat has got to go. two of 4 blown speakers and a cd player that skips as much as a schoolgirl. i have been putting some stereo choices together over the last two weeks.

Looks like you have a fun time. But, this site isn't fun without the pictures of the Mastercraft.

Looks like yall had a blast!

I saw similar incident on the ramp a few weeks ago, luckily the woman driving was a few inches short of hitting the glass. The husband or owner of the boat just about puked, he was sick to his stomach.

I went to Canyon lake as a child but dont remember it. I need to make another visit, Im in that area a few times a year.

yeah, i wish i could've gotten a picture of it. it was one of those priceless pics. on top of that, his truck barely had enough power to pull it up the ramp. needless to say, we were waiting for a bit.

you should visit it again matt. it's nice and big. one of the nicer lakes i've been on.

nice pixs...I skipped last thurs and friday
                          - spent both on the lake.
                          - Matt g. hit a long lunch session on friday on lewi. it was butter in the cove. all the other boats were running to the dam. let them run I say.
                          - wakeboarding will come w/time and falls.

I used to use Canyon Lake when I lived in San Antonio. Potters Creek was the ramp of choice. But I don't remember Canyon Lake being smooth in the summer, at least when I visited. The water you show in the picture was a rarity for us.

Come to TN and I will show you really smooth water. What we consider rough here was considered smooth on Canyon Lake. We many times get water that contains nary a ripple and the water makes this nice hissing sound under the boat.

Canyon Lake has a lot of sailboats and there is a reason, wind. And that wind can make the lake very rough. Watch out in the northwest end of the lake as there are some stumps just a few inches below the water. I bounced my boat bottom off one of those stumps once.
