The most people I can remember having on there was 3 and that was me and two friends, Danny(200lbs), Eric(175-200lbs), Me(150), so about 550 pounds, on three pins?

There are different types of metals that can support different applications. I would hope that the pins were tested to a specific load before the company installed them onto the boat.

Yes. Pull it straight up.

No. The brackets are a tongue and groove type. The pin just holds it in place.

Bump from the dead thread

Ok I have the same platform with the quick pins.... Anyways My brackets have cracked and one is completely broken mine our the tubular style pictured in the first post. Some one mentioned welding these, but they are not stainless steel and I was a bit worried the metal will "melt" away if i try and weld it does any one know of a good place for replacement brackets or if I can weld mine?
