Does this look stock?

I found out today, the brackets I have are the quick release option that was available at the factory. The original owner of my boat said that he ordered the quick release option because he wasn't sure if it would fit in his garage.


Nice looking deck. I just finished mine today. Just putting the third coat on now.

First pic is before I started.




Second pic is after I used Nautical ease to strip the old crap off.




Third pic is after the oiling. I used Maguirs teak oil.

Nice job. Looks like you started early in the day because there is gradually more sun light in each picture.

Did you keep the platform on the boat? Did you use anything to make sure that the stuff you used didn't get onto the gelcoat?

I did it on three different days. It was pretty easy to pull it off the boat to strip as this is a quick release type platform. I just took the pic after I put if back on. I oiled it on the boat.

Well being as the threads already been 'jacked Just finished mine today as well, wasn't bad from last year though. Wiped it down, sanded one spot and three coats later ...

JL ... lookin' good man! I can't figure that quick mount thing as an option. Did they change it on newer boats? All the older boats have the Alloy Marine mounts which are quickies ( ) like mine. Pull a quick pin and it's off.

dunno. I've got all the original paperwork from the original owner. I'll see if there is anything in there about options. Sure wish it was quick release though. A buddy of mine has a MC X-9 that has it and its really nice.

It looks like the same style as the quick release but I dont see the pins.

It looks its all one solid pieces and is bolted to the boat so i would say no its not.
