    Teak Swim Platform Transom Guard

I don't know if this subject has been posted here or not before, so forgive me if so.

I just finished making and installing a transome guard that will help prevent the WHACKING of my transom with a ski or wakeboard. I made it from a 6'6" piece of teak that was just over 1.25" thick and 7 inches wide. It was a little costly but I have the other half of the board left over if someone is interested. It is enough to make a second one.

I put it through a planer then made the cuts with a band saw then sanded with electric sander then by hand. I used Gorilla glue and counter sunk stainless screws from below.

    Thought I would share.

There is a patten on Transom saver and transom guard, so what you have might be called is a decorative piece of teak.

That looks great, I want one. I used Gator Grip and it goes up a little bit higher. And it was a little bit cheaper. But I would take one of those.
