My first boat, Couple questions...

I am new here and this is my first post.

Ok I just purchased my first boat, I grew up on my parents Outboard V-Hull boat so I am not clueless about boating.

I purchased a 1999 Tige 2100v Limited w/Taps, you can see pics here: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/zcoxku The boat has about 245 hours and the new motor has 50 on it.

Here is what I need to know:
It is missing the front snap in carpet and I am really not that big of a fan of the graphics.

Where can I get the carpet and the RZ2 graphics or something along those lines, I really want a bolder looking graphic on the boat???

Any tige dealer should be able to get both items for you.

Carpet you could pick up at a dealer. Mine costed about $300.

Theres a couple people who have redone graphics, so they might chime in. If you update the graphics it probably wouldnt be a bad idea to update the tower as well.

I know there are a few guys on here that have had there own custom graphics done and they were cheaper than factory. Most any sign place should be able to do what you want or there are some on line that have been used I think, not sure of the name though.

But tower should be more of you worries because the welds tend to break on those metcraps(Metcrafts)

Moki should end up with a post, he has the same boat I think. He did the custom graphics here in So Cal and drove it down from utah. He also had the tower redone, new bimini, and speakers added. Very nice looking

I am not too worried about the welds as I know how to tig and can fix the tower if it breaks. But I must say I do like the looks of the newer towers, are they a dealership only item or where can you buy them?

I really want to just update the style of the boat. New graphics, interior, and tower will all get changed over the next couple years.

I would be worries about those welds breaking while you are riding. It would suck if you are the guy sitting in the boat when it happens.
There are lots of good towers out there. Monster for one.....am blanking on the others right now.....I'm sure someone else will chime in with some others. If it were me....and its not....but if it were, the tower and the carpet would be top of my list.

Well I took it out today for its maiden voyage and sealed the deal with the previous owner. I really enjoyed the way this boat ran. Tons of room, lots of storage and great performance. Now all I need is perfectpass so the wife can tow me around
I ended up giving $19k for her, she has 160 hours and is in pretty good shape other than for a couple tares in the seats. But hay its 8 years old All in all I think I did pretty good on the deal.
