Need 1 more cupholder and a trashcan!

I took the RZ2 out for the first time this weekend and I only had 2 small complaints about the boat. First off, WOW! This boat is amazing!!!! Handled super choppy water with ease and the handling and power just blew me away! Now for the complaints...

There needs to be 1 more cupholder for the driver in the cockpit there. If not a cupholder, some sort of area to put an iPod/cell phone in. They have the ipod connector right next to the cupholder which is great except for when you want to have the iPod and a drink at the same time. My old boat ('04 Rinker 192 Captiva) had a cupholder on the dash and down near the floor and that was perfect. What I wound up doing was running the cord across the steering wheel and putting the iPod down in the netted storage area which was okay except for the cord being in the way!

No trash can...Tige needs to figure out a place to integrate a trash can in the boat. The old boat had an integrated trash can and it was so freaking nice to have that, especially with kids! I know what you're thinking, that it's a stupid idea or that I'm just too picky

Once you have had those things, you really miss them even if it was your first time out in the boat!

As far as a trash can goes....
On a previous thread someone came up with the idea of a foldable like hamper type thing to use as a trash can. And if you dont use your cooler it could double as a trash can.

That's where the subwoofer is...I'm thinking about putting one in one of the rear storage compartments but it's definitely not as nice as having one built in that is easily accessible.

Just wait until you need to drill a hole in the boat... Then you might get a little scared.... We all don't feel very comfortable about that.....

I've signed myself up for a DIY with the grab bar by the swim plateform and documenting it.... So, I'm cutting into my boat soon... Maybe next weekend. Just ordered the bar this AM....

Hey Timmy!, did you bring The Lords of the Underworld out with you?

One of my buddies who comes out with us now that he sold his Nautweek, thinks my trash can is about the coolest damn thing ever to have on a boat. I couldn't agree more.

                    Hello? Tige? Are you listening?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

It's not like we don't have enough storage areas that can be convered......

You don't need any more cup holders anyways... Beer belongs in your hand....

I agree with what you are saying. I usually just leave my iPod on the dash (it has a rubber sleeve so it doesnt slip) or I just lay it my lap/seat.

                              A trashcan.

I keep a small trashcan right bedind the driver seat. The cooler sits right behind that and keeps the can steady. Grab a beer from the cooler, drink it, crush it, drop it in the can, grap another. All without moving your feet.

At the end of the day, while pulling the boat out, stop at the dumpster at the top of the ramp, somebody jumps out of the boat, chuck's the bag, jumps back in the boat and we're off to a nice shady spot to tear the boat down. No mess, no fuss, bang zoom, boom done.
