That's pretty. I'l deffinitely show it to him. It's in his price range. Unforunately he is out of town for the weekend, but I'll be sure to hip him to it once he gets back. I have another friend who might be interested as well, but his wife is fairly opposed to it at the moment.
One question though, what's with the Centurion banner on the wall? You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I'd say buy a 500 truck to pull it. When you are out riding, network and ask others where they store. I have a buddy with a big ol' pole barn. I pay him 285 for the winter to store.....course thats here in MN. Don't sell that boat just yet. There's still hope!!
Trust me, I bought my boat from a guy who got married and was having a kid. It wrecked him to sell it. I actually felt bad buying it from him.....until we got 5 miles away....then I was over it
Don't give up just yet!!Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to a lack of alcohol.

Ok so trying to take the advice form a couple of members. I've been looking for some used trucks to pull my boat. I've found a 1984 K5 chevy Blazer in my price range. What I am trying to figure out is weather or it not it has enough towing capacity to pull my 3880lbs boat. It has a Chevy 305 in it and I have google searched my butt off trying to find the towing capacity for this vehicle.
Does anyone know what the towing capacity would be or where I might find it?

How far do you have to pull it? Does it have a factory towing package or is it after market? Does it say what class hitch it has? My guess is that its a class II or maybe even a class III, but you'll want to be sure.
Class I hitch will pull up to 2000 lbs
Class II hitch will pull up to 3500lbs
Class III hitch will pull up to 5000lbs
Class IV hitch will pull up to 10000lbs
I did find an original brochure that says "properly equipped...it can pull up to 11,000lbs...."
I also found a forum called http://coloradok5.com/ After a little looking there, found a guy with an 86 who pulls 5500 with his K5. My guess is you'd be fine.
I used to pull a 84 Supra (a tank) with a GMC Jimmy with a 4.3L (265cu in) Pulled it just fine on the freeway, was a bit sluggish on the acceleration though. So I would say engine-wise you ought to be fine with a 305.Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to a lack of alcohol.

Thanks for your research! I didn't thinkit would so difficult to find info on this vehicle. I figured with all of the search engines out there it would have been a snap.
Well I'm going to buy it and keep my boat! This is great I get to stay a member of the family. If I try hard enough maybe I can become that uncle that you only see on holidays can't remember his name and try to avoid.

Man,
Sorry to hear it. I also am located in Loveland and put over 100 hours on the boat on Northern CO lakes last summer. Tons of storage places right next to boyd inside and out. I am sure you could find a friend to tow the boat when you need. It is a great place to have a boat, especially during the week.Top Heavy

Five'o - Glad it helped. Its always good to help a guy keep his Tigé
From the looks of that forum (nice that its local for you too) there are some pretty easy mods that can be made to that truck if it doesn't tow as well as you want. Maybe TopHeavy can help find storage if you still need it.Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to a lack of alcohol.
