We left the flag home once. Tied one of the coast guard orange vests to an oar. Worked perfectly. Nobody wanted to be the flag holder though - I wonder why.
We went out to New Melones res. both saturday and sunday, water was 70* air was 80* and nobody on the water! Bunch of bass boats along the shore but that was about it, my wife got up on my wakeboard, and my kid (3yr old) and my wifes friend managed to fall out of the inner tube ....scared the heck out of my wife!!!! Told her that was what life jackets were for....

I bet you were sleeping on the couch later that night.
What lake? I was planning on heading out, then work came up. I think Wednesday at Pineview is my next trip. The lower lakes are getting too crowded from what you say and what I hear. Sounds like a fun day on the lake for you anyway. Good luck on the next trip out and don't forget the camera.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.
we whent out to utah lake. not the most glamorous lake for the first time out on the new boat.lol. but it was fun.. it was super crowded though. we had to wait in a big line at the ramp and there were boats all over on the north end. i heard that the south end was better though. everyone was just exited to get out on the first warm weekend. ive heard that jordanell and deer creek are around 57.
pic from the 1st day out for us. i took it a few weeks back but check out the water. glassy eh? it was still rippling some from stopping the boat but as soon as that cleared up it was butter.
yeah, thats lake georgetown. its north of austin. its a great place to ride but it turns into a mass of rollers as soon as a few boats get out and stir it up. lots of people with zero skills in the boat driving department.
um, isn't the zero boat driving skills the case at all public lakes? I know it is at all the one's I have been too! Last guy was trying to put his brake lock out in the trailer while it was pointing up hill, DUH!!

It hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!
nice one, go him! yeah it gets pretty insane out there especially in the peak of the season. the ramp and dock are nuts sometimes. we get these jerks who sit at the ramp and flip out on their wives when the boat isn't working. last year this guy went to get the trailer to pick up their boat and his wife turned it off to wait. well it wouldn't start again so the dude sat on the ramp and let her have it in front of everyone. needless to say we helped her out and shut him up. i just can't believe b/s like that still happens. anger management much?
