    thanks for the kind words!

after we picked it up, we took it straight over to the Texas Ski Ranch. figured it would be a good time to take it in and have it 'onced over' and have all the fluids changed. might as well start from zero with maintanence with a new owner. they are going to do a 100 hour service basically. they will have it until thursday or friday, so that is good time to square away the storage unit.

i'm actually surprised they didn't get a tandem axle trailer, but this seems to handle just fine. some new wheels and tires will probably be in order by the end of the season (if not before). they have plenty of tread left, but they were both a bit low when we picked it up. took it by a tire shop on the way home and they said the tires looked good other than needing air.
i told him he needs to get some black wheels to match the black wheels on his expedition.

Well, it sounds like you are off to the races with the boat now. Make sure you take pictures when you are out so everyone can see how you are able to board behind it. You might be able to work on the wake over this website with some of the fellow tige owners also. I am sure they will have more than your share of comments towards the amount of weight that should be added and where that weight should be. Have fun....

p.s. That is going to be a fast turnover from the dealer. They must be slow right now.....

i've never wakeboarded before and i'm not even sure if i'll try this time or not. we're really just looking to get a good feeling of the boat the first time out. we may throw a tube behind it, but inexperienced wakeboarders on a new boat....maybe the second go-round.
my buddy has a hyperlite board already (he's never used it though).
i don't even know where to start matching one up for my body size (6'5", 280lbs., 14-15 shoe size), so i need to do some research. i would hate to get on his board and break it.
i am about to be a dad, so i am working the camera out as much as possible these days. there will certainly be plenty of pictures.

yeah, we were expecting a longer turnover from the shop, but apparently there were only one or two customer boats in front of us, also there for similar service.

Oh, you are just starting the fun.... I think you already mentioned that.... Well, you have a LOT to learn and quick... A lot of the boards have very nice warranty's on them. Breaking shouldn't be a issue unless you do rails alot but I don't see you doing this anytime soon.

Don't worry about ski's. Your foot is as big as one. he he he

              story of my life.
13 years old and a size 15 is not fun. at 24, it's not as bad. more people have big feet now than they did 10+ years ago.

well that's good to hear. not knowing anything about it, i wasn't sure if there were weight limits on these things.

There are weight limits on them but the larger the board, the larger the person can be. No, don't go out and get the 120cm because you won't fit but something at or above 140cm should be fine in size. Then there is a LOT more to it than just that. You might want to look at wakeworld.com and look into the spec of the boards and bindings. It was where I started at one time after the boardshop took care of me for a beginner setup....

Rails, rails, rails.... Well, it wouldn't be too easy there either but much easier on the rails than normal boarding......

well the Ski Ranch had the boat done yesterday. they said everything looks great.
we headed down to Canyon Lake to look for a storage unit yesterday after work. we found one no more than 1 mile from the drop. it's just outside of Sattler. less than $300 a year for closed, locked, covered storage right next to the lake. we figured that was a pretty good deal.
we will be moving the boat over there this afternoon.
