Any members of this board from the St. Louis area?

I see lots of members from the Dallas area, AZ, OK, CA, - even Canada (you Canada folks been out to the lake yet?) - but haven't seen anyone from St. Louis, or for that matter - MO.

If you're from this area, let me know. I'd like to meet other Tige' owners close to us.

    Matt:
I tried to do a search of members by location, but I wasn't able. Is this a feature that we could add to the board?

    Thanks

    Saulo

    Canadian weather

We canadians in the west have been in the water since the begining of April. The temp here has been in the high 80's to low 90's for a week now. How about you? Enjoy the summer!

You folks in West Canada are lucky!!

We were in the low 80's for a couple of days a couple of weeks ago. Since then, it's been raining and in the 60's.

Keeping my fingers crossed. It's supposed to get back up in the 80's this week, and it's supposed to last. Though I'm sure that water is still cooold.

        smendez,
I am in Chesterfield, MO. I am not an owner but my in-laws just took delivery on a switch V. It is kept at Lake of the Ozarks. The water is still chilly, but first pull for me was last saturday.
Hope the temps can stay up in the 80's.

I've never taken a boat to the Lake of the Ozarks. I heard it gets very busy there during the summer and it gets really rough for smaller boats, though I've never seen it myself.

I would imagine you probably had the lake for yourself last week though, with just a few fishermen to accompany you.

We do most of our boating at Mark Twain, Carlisle (that too is getting very busy), and believe it or not - my favorite is the Mississippi River.

During the summer we take a week or two and take the boat to Table Rock. That's a very nice lake.

If you're ever interested in taking that nice Switch-V out of the Ozarks for a weekend, let me know, and we'll hook up and go to a smaller lake or try the river.

I used to wakeboard at the lake of the Ozarks in the past summers but stopped going last year. From my few weeks up there, the lake is pretty busy and very choppy. But that was also around the 4th of July and you know how that is on any lake especially one as big as the Ozarks. There are always small coves you can find though with good water. Just my 2 cents but I havent been there enough to know what it is like all the time.

Lake of the ozarks is a busy lake during the summer. On the weekends it is very busy, but you can usually find a cove that is somewhat calm. It all depends on where you are on the lake, the higher the mile marker, usually calmer water. The switch V will not be cruising around on a busy weekend, we would have a very rough ride.
smendez, tablerock is a great lake, hope your vacation there is wonderful.

Saulo, not sure if vBulletin (developers of this forum) have any plans of releasing that type of functionality. Hopefully they will in the future.

                  Smendez,

Were in KC so that's not too far.. Lake of the ozarks is good for a party and you can find some decent coves to ride in but I would suggest other lakes if your going to drive that Far... My Favorite is Stockton. It seems like it never get's busy.. even on the 4th. The water is super clean and they have pretty decent cabins and resturants for the post ride chill.. We'll be there the entire week of the 4th..
There's a fine line between fishing, and just standing on the shore like an idiot.

                    DMC:

I have a couple of friends who like to go there fishing. I never gave it a second thought as a watersports lake.

I may definitely have to try it. We are going to Table Rock for the 4th as well. 2 glorious weeks away from it all. Who knows, I may even drive up to stockton for a day. It's about 100 miles.

Any particular place on the lake you think is best? If I went there for a day, are there any public ramps or fee ramps I could easily find?

                    Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for your reply. If you ever get a minute to drop the developers at vBulleting a line, let them know what a great job they've done and that a member search by location would be useful.

                      Thanks again

                        Beaver Lake

If you guys are willing to travel to Lake of the Ozarks to find some good quiet wakeboarding, Travel a little further south to Northwest Arkansas. There you will find Beaver Lake in which I am convinced only the fisherman know about. This lake is never crowded, has tons of coves to ski in facing all diffrent directions so when the wind comes up you can easily find a calm one and don't have to compete with any one else. Just my two cents, Take it for what it is worth.

We always put in at orleans trail it's free. Here's a linkto lake info and directions: http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/stockt...ckton_home.htm

No one thoinks about Stckton as a watersport lake that's what makes it great. Plus you don't have to compete with the wake of 10 50 foot playboys in the main channel!!!!

                          I love table rock too.

                            Hey Saulo,
My buddy has a 21V and me a Bu Sunsetter Lx. We ski and board on the Illinois river or up the Quivre slew. Put in @ Riverside. Hope to see you out there. Jim

                              That's my line!

I put in at Riverside. During the week we ride upstream to the Quivre River slew - Flatest water I've ever seen . During the weekends we go up the Illinois until everyone else has been left behind and we find some calm water.

We have a gray & white 22v with the Riders graphics. We are beginner wakeboarders and from a scale of 1 to 10 about a 4 in slalom. The kids are learning, but I'm not much of a teacher since I too am learning, but we sure do have fun.

We haven't been out yet, but this is the weekend. We plan to go out on Sunday - rain or shine.

The Malibu Sunsetter is a nice boat. Does it have a nice flat skiing wake? What color is your boat? in case we see you out there.

Let me know if you want to get together and do a little bit of skiing or boarding. We always enjoy watching good skiers. We learn that way too.
