Find somewhere to buy a polish by the name of FLITZ. That stuff is amazing. After you get the spots off. Use a good qualiy product for was and a spray maintenance to keep them away. Such as BABES Boat Brite. Let me know if you want any Babe's Boat Brite.

I use the 50/50 with vinegar and then a few teaspoons of liquid wax. It makes the vinegar smell pretty, and waxes as you go. It is not enough to keep the boat waxed, however.
I find that I can use just about anything if the boat has been waxed recently. Even just using the towel on it will take most away, if the boat is wet and recently waxed.
There are some heated debates as to whether vinegar strips the wax off. I don't think it does, but the guys who wax their boats the most seem to have the least problems with water spots. That jives with my personal experience.Be excellent to one another.
