Attn Samson Tower Owners

If your boat is easily accessible, would you measure the distance from the floor of the boat to the highest point on the tower when it is lowered? I cannot get to my boat to do the measurements for several days and know somebody considering the 22ve with the samson tower but has a clearance issue for their garage. The Tige Tower is too tall but I think the samson might be a little shorter but not sure. I think they only have a few inches of clearance above the windshield and the garage door opening.

My boat is not handy right now, but I know it will not fit through a 7 foot garage door. In the winter I stored it in a garage with a 8 foot door and the Mirror ( highest point when the tower is folded flat) just fit with a few inches to spare. If you do not have the mirror on, my guess would be 7'6 for clearance. Trailer is a DHM.

Not sure, that's why I was trying to get the measurement from the floor of the boat, they were going to borrow a boat from the dealership before the tower was attached. Plan was to then measure from the floor in the boat to the top of the opening to compare it.

22ve fitting in a 84" door

We ordered a 22ve last year with the understanding that the boat and tower would fit into our garage.(Door opening is 84 inches) The tower height is only one factor that has to be considered. We went with an explosion tower for that reason. (When down the tower is five inches above the windshield and the height from the ground to the top of the tower is 83 inches). One thing we didnt think about was the additional height of the board racks. We just installed explosion racks that pivot and can be removed with the pull of a pin.(Only came out with them about a week ago).

There was alot of communication with the the trailer manufacturer (Extreme) about the height of the bunks and trailer. I am not an expert in that area but Daniel at Tige Water Sports made the arrangements and new exactly how to handle the trailer situation. (They are a great place to deal with and know their boats and accessories.) In addition the tires on the trailer can make a huge difference on the height. The boat will definately fit in a standard garage door opening of 84 inches but it is tight. I was told the trailer will eventually settle an inch or so but so far that hasnt happened. Good Luck!
