we were at powell and there was a boat pulling some tubers way to close to the walls, and he whipped them at the wall. we thought they were going to hit for sure but the tube flipped over no joke ten feet before they hit the wall. they didnt hit, but still way to close

You know, normally I depend on Darwin to take care of the idiots of the world, but this brings up an interesting quandry: What if the idiot is at the controls of a $60K wakeboard boat and pulling some non-idiots in a tube??

OK so i just remembered one from last weekend when we tested the boat out at Don Pedro. We're chillin' in a large cove for awhile listening to the new tunes and there's this large new looking i/o pulling some kids on the other side in circles and such around a buoy. Later we leave and as we did we notice it's a hazard buoy! This idiot was continuosly towing over a freakin' hazard! I could see a shoal/sand bar way before we got near it! Where was this guy when brains were handed out?
"Call me anything you want ... Just don't call me NOBODY!

We were coming in trying to out run a storm, and so was everyone else. All the jet boats were hovering over the ramp, due to the huge swells. Well I was getting trapped in, and got pissed(alchol consumption had nothing to do with it ) and I was out of the no wake zone so I punched it. Well when I took off this jet boat thought I was coming right at him, I had a lot of weight in the boat, so my wake was huge, not too mention I hadn't hit plane yet, so needless to say I damn near swamped him. His red neck friend kept trying to play chicken with me so I just kept going around and around, just tearing the water up. Granted now I was in the deep water and his boat was just taking on water. I had some easily 6 foot swells created from doing figure 8's He threw a beer, full and it hit my boat. We called in the lake patrol, and then went and got the rangers. Luck had it we had to pull up and load my boat with theirs right beside his. It took 6 guys to put their boat on the trailer, and I just drove up and we pulled out

Needless to say I had three of my BIG friends with me. When we pulled up and out in the lot they pulled beside me. They were true red necks, easily had a 50K boat getting pulled behind a rusted out blazer! When my girls stepped off the boat, the kids they had with them just dropped their jaw, it was freaking priceless!!! needless to say they came up and started talking )*&(*& and the ranger came and broke it up.

I ended up saying I was sorry, and eating crow just so I could leave. but right in front of the ranger I told this Red neck if he ever throws a beer can at me again I'll run him over, and sink his boat!! the ranger just laughed and said have a good day! the guy said he would pay for the damage to my fiber glass. I just laughed at him and said what damage? He said the dent I put in it, cuz I know if you had thrown one at me it would have dented. I just laughed and said no this boat!! (there wasn't a scratch on my boat )
Dom what is it about you, your friends, and the lake rangers? I seem to remember a little incident at Dirty Bird last year where the cops yelled at me to come talk to them, thinking I was a someone else... and u were involved w/ that one too

The best ramp incident I have ever seen was some new boaters pull up with a brand new Bayliner. They back it down to the water. They never took the back straps of the boat and trailer, they never disconnected the nose from the trailer, but they did disconnect the trailer from the truck with the boat still attached. Then they could not figure out why the boat would not move. I had to hide in my truck laughing and get it all out before I could go help them. I laughed a good five minutes. Another one was I watched a friends wife back his boat down the ramp and she got scared and slammed the brakes just before the back of the boat hit the water. The boat slid of the trailer. The back of the boat was barley touching the water. So she just started to back up and pushed it into the lake. Gel-Coat damage was all. Lucky.

                        Unloading:

I saw one person back their boat into the lake and the driver started the engine and the prop came off before he put the boat into reverse. It was funny because they couldn't figure what was wrong when the boat was engaged. I finally told them the problem and then the guy waded thru the water and had to dive about 4 feet to get the prop.

                        Just funny....

                          Guaranteed Entertainment

I must say I have been amazed of some of the stories you guys have posted here. "And I thought I had seen some serious idiot's!" None of my stories can compare to some of the on water experiencen's you all have seen. It all boils down to comon sense and common courtesy, which there obviously is a lacking of on the water. These people that you speak of are probably the same ones that you see on the highways driving just as stupid. But I can tell you one thing. You could spend a day at the boat ramp, early summer preferably, and get all of the free entertainment you could ever ask for. Boy do the numbskulls really shine there. A case of cold drinks, some snacks, a lawn chair, some good sunblock, then just sit back and enjoy. Oh the things you will see!

Anyone ever witnessed the tow vehicle go in?
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

I haven't seen a tow vehicle go in yet but I have heard of a few going in.

Which one would be more prone?

                            1. Some person put the vehicle into reverse and hit the gas.
                            2. Another one forgot the vehicle into neutral and forgot the brake. He left the vehicle to disconnect the boat from the trailer.
                            3. The trailer drags the vehicle into the water.

I would say 3 would be the most "popular".

                            Comment

#3 is the most fun to watch, especially if the boat is tied to the trailer

But they're all fun to watch, as long as you are not waiting to put your boat in
