I witnessed the after math of a tow rig going in.

I was bringing my old silverline into the ramp, and these guys were yelling and screaming to go away. So we dropped off a driver at the dock, and went to another ramp on the other side of the lake.

We drove back by, and here was this tow truck towing up a nice new s10 and a trailer as well. SEems the wife forgot to put it into 1st or the Ebrake so bye bye truck and trailer!! Darn standards!

We sit there in the Rhino before we head over to Javelina's for dinner. It always makes for interesting dinner conversation

Just seeing the chaos with inexperienced boaters, stupid boaters and drunk boaters. A better ramp to sit at is Katherines Landing on Lake Mohave

I've seen some great things at Katherines, and gotten into a few arguments with crazy people wiping their boats/seadoo's down on the ramp with an hour long line of people waiting to pick up their boat...

Thats why now I go to telephone cove....

I always launch the seadoo's at telephone cove. You have to back in pretty far to launch the boat. Dirt road, not bad if you go slow, line not bad, parking ok. I have not been there in a while so GMONEY would have a better update. Used to be on the left side of the ramp was a big hole that everyone would get stuck in since the launch area is all dirt. I would say G-MONEY is a brave soul to launch the boat from there

It's a dirt road, parking and ramp, you NEED 4X4!!!!!!! It's a must or you WILL need to get towed out....

The ramp has a very shallow slope so you need to put you truck all the way in water. The best way is to lunch your boat at Katherines and drive over to telephone cove and park. When you pick up your boat walk the boat onto the trailer don't power on and use the winch to get the boat up all the way. If you power on you will kick up all the dirt and rocks not good. I know it seams like pain but its not that bad plus anything beats a 1-2 hr line over at Katherines. The longest I have ever waited at telephone cove is 10 min. It would have taken over an hour at Katherines.

After all that I just realized you are going on a Tuesday, you will have no problems at Katherines its the weekends you need to look out for. The best cove is the first cove to your left just out side the the no wake zone, or on the back side of that one facing the dam.... It's big and all sand

Make sure you go up to Gaslamp Ally and jump off the rock its just past telephone cove on you right it has a no wake zone at the entrance of the cove. You can jump through the hole in the peak of the rock or just down to the right of the peak. Its something like 30-50ft deep... And get gas at Sam's its like $.35 a gallon cheeper...

I have to find the pictures of my daughter and I jumping off that rock. Fun activity. We used to go right out of telephone cove across the lake. Second cove in was pretty deep and wind protected. Again do not get up there very often anymore for boating.

Just last weekend at Comanche, a guy is helping his wife back down the ramp with their antiquated Bayliner and she thinks she's going too fast and slams on the brakes...boat slides off trailer but fortunately the water's deep enough where it just starts to float away, turning away from the dock...with their 4 small kids on board. Needless to say a few of us either jumped into the water or ran along the dock to grab the boat before it got too far. Dad was barefoot and was slipping on the ramp, so he couldn't get over to the boat. Wife was yelling, he was cursing...I bet their day of boating was quite tense. I made sure to tell my wife she did a great job of helping trailer our boat.

That sounds like it would have been funny to watch but scary if it was your boat and children.

Ok so were at the river this weekend and were just floating getting things set up to pull someone skiing and everyone that passed us felt the need to be kind and slow down, well yeah I appreciate that your being considerate of other boaters but when you slow down to 10mph your just making a bigger wake! And these other people would pull over and stop when we passed them. Weird people on the river this weekend...
