    Swim Platform Cover

Below is the cover that came with our boat but it will not fit our fiberglass platform. I'm not just talking a tight fit, I'm talking FEET away from fitting

From what I understand, the teak and fiberglass are the same size, so I'm wondering if the dealer gave me the cover for a different year or what

Anybody out there with an 06 (05 to 07 even) had any trouble with their covers not fitting the swim platform?

If I can figure out what it fits, I would like to sell it to someone that needs it.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

We had the custom cover purchased for us because Tige didn't have the normal cover for it. The custom cover does not come close to covering the platform.

I was also told that the Tige mooring cover comes with the platform cover and mirror cover. I've got all 3, but the platform cover is just too small

Where did the dimensions come from for the custom cover and are they making another for you?

When I bought the boat, my salesman went ahead and purchased it from Tige from my understanding. I hate to do this to you but you might want to talk to the dealer..... Did I just say that?????? I should be a Tige saleman....

Is the platform cover too small width ways or length? Or both? The only reason I ask is the 20 platform looks narrower but about the same length, maybe they gave you a 20v/i platform cover?

Well......................my selling dealer had no interest in "after the sell" service, even up to the point of having their franchise pulled last July but I have an AWESOME rep, so if It ends up I have the wrong cover, he'll get it straight.

The dealer here supplied an after market cover for my boat - nice one, but does not cover platform. I saw he has a few '07 Tige OEM covers in his lot on new boats this year - but none of them cover the swim platform.

I don't think I would want the platform covered for trailering. Traveling 70+ mph along the freeway - might be a lot of flapping/billowing. The aftermarket cover I have hugs the boat.

Why cover anything while towing unless its speakers or a tower? Covers cost too much to begin with.

That sounds logical, it will not stretch across width (across the transom) wise, but the length (away from transom) I did not try, may fit.

Here is the main reason I choose to buy a trailerable cover: Rain over the mountain passes causing dirty road spray from semi-trucks doing 70 mph to cover your boat on the way to a destination, etc.

Also, I will post a picture of the "stuff" I throw into the boat to go camping.... cover prevents "stuff" from blowing all over the road. let me find it.

yah,I know that the 06's, the Tige mooring cover only covered the boat and they came with a seperate cover for the platform.

I agree, the 06 covers are trailerable and I have put about 700 hiway miles on 2 trips with the cover on, with no probs.

I had my cover made to cover the platform as well so i don't have that issue, and it's trailerable. Hmmm, why did i even respond here if i don't have the issue? Why did i say that? What's the meaning of life?

Razzman, we can cough this up to two things:

                            1) Brain fart and
                            2) Senior moments.

                            All:

I can also remember that I did get another cover that was smaller and I did try to put that cover on the swim platform but it was WAYYYYY too small and I think it was really made for the tower if you were to have speakers put up there.

Chpthril - We have the same boat as you and the swim platform cover only fits one way. By that I mean one side is shorter than the other. It seams that every other time we put it on we forget this simple little fact and fight with it for a while until I realize this and turn it around. Does your cover have the strap that is supposed to go around the swim platform and snap together? I can't see for the life of me how this strap is supposed to fit between the swim platform and the back of the boat...can anyone help me on this one?
