Ok after a few trips now I am getting a lot of creaking sounds from my tower while underway. It is coming from where the tower is connecting to the tower arm. Between my speakers, which are the main cause of the extra sway, and wakeboards the sound is bothering me. My thought is to put some nylon washers up there to try to dampen the sound or even use some liquid electral tape in the area (I don't think it will last very long). Any other ideas on how to quite down my tower?

I think there was a conversation about this on wakeworld.com. I think the problem people were pointing out was the speakers and the added pressure that they apply to the tower.
So,
Solution 1: Ear muff's.
Solution 2: Remove speakers.
Solution 3: Tighten everything down.
Solution 4: Don't worry about it???
I would go with 3 and 4.....

Coach,
You know, I am having problems with my uprights with the paint chipping and I realized the when I take the tower down, there are some white plastic pieces that are between the tower and the uprights. Do you have those installed?
After that, I would suggest that you go around the tower and tighten all the bolts and screws.
I also have another problem with the bimini top and the screws holding that in place but I am always fixing that by tightening the screw. However, I am just pointing out that tightening might be your best bet before putting rubber or plastic washers between all the metal parts.
I hope this helps.

Second: We take the tower down to store the boat in the carport. The paint on the uprights make a tight fit when properly placed. As for a precaution to make sure the chipping doesn't happen: Don't do anything to the uprights and keep them attached to the tower. Or, remove the paint and keep them the brushed aluminum. Yes, I'm not happy about this but Tige does not warranty this unfortunately.
p.s. If you feel I am mad, just be glad that you don't have to hear it from the GF.... Ewwwwww... She's pissed and I have to hear it..... Okay, I started another thread on this in the Maintenance and Care section.

I have tightened everything down many times I really need to red lock tight it. I don't think I have any nylon washers on my uprights. I think some nylon washers with some lock tight will help some of the noise.Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
