everything above works great. also, if you are just sitting get parallel to the incoming wakes and let them rock the boat instead of coming over the front.

Thank you everyone for the reponses they are very helpful.
Sounds like with some throttle control and paying attention we should be all set. I think the only time it will be an isuue is when we are chilling and listening to some music while anjoying an adult beverage and a big yacht throws a roller our way and we are not able to pick up the throttle to go over it.
May I ask one really dumb question and I already know I will be harassed for this one
Does taking water over the bow hurt the boat in any way. I know it will run down and the bilge will pump it out and it's a boat so it's made to get wet and evrything will dry. I'm just wondering if taking a large wave that you were unable to avoid would damage the boat or the bow speakers? Go easy on me I'm a newbie

I am not sure how everyone else does it but my Tige dealership here also showed us when we have a down boarder, we come to an almost complete stop before we turn around to get our boarder. This has reduced the amount of water that comes over the bow alot also. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

hahah its funny you ask that. a buddy did it pretty much everytime i rode and thanks to him doing that and leaning back in the driver's seat the whole friggin' seat fell over at the mount. turned it, remounted it, and lost the moron and haven't had a problem with it ever again. its not really an issue because it just drains to the bottom and the bilge gets rid of it. however your storage stuff will get wet as well as all cell phones in front run a high risk of getting ruined.

Yeah plowing isn't going to happen too often while under way, with the exception of turning into your own wake.
I boat at the lake of the ozarks couple times a year. I dont know how many of you have ever been there. But its a very very busy lake with tons of enourmous boats, which means big wakes. So far while boating on the main channel we have yet to take a wave over the bow while underway, just maybe a little splashing. We usually ride with the taps in the 3-6 range to keep the nose up a little along with precision throttle control this tends to work pretty well.Common Sense is not so Common
