I'm sure there are plenty of people on here that have or have experience w/ the 22i. A little more info about what you're looking for might help people help you. What are your primary purposes for using the boat? Skiing? Wakeboarding?
You might want to read over this thread a little bit to get an idea of overall Tige quality. The opinions are those of Tige owners but I still think you should be able to find some good stuff in there if you're looking for a new boat!
Also someone w/ a 22i chime in b/c I have no experience w/ that particular Tige.If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..

22i's are great boats. upsides are they handle great, extremely roomy, and are capable of throwing a v-drive wake. downsides are that they are a little more difficult to weight and friends plow through wakes dumping water into the bow. let me put it this way though.. i've owned one for 6 years running now and its never let me down. mine is a 2001 22i type-r which is the 1st and largest model they made. i hear they have really tuned things on the newer ones and they work really well.

The bow plowing is a problem on virtually every boat except the RZ2.
As for weighting, the 50/50 setup you put in your other thread is the way to go for both V-Drive and D-Drive. You may even want to put a little more weight in the bow of a V-Drive to compensate for the engine in the rear.
Tige makes a great boat that is roomier than most and handles all kinds of conditions. Their patented Convex hull makes their surf wake one of the best available. The TAPS feature is a great wake shaping device that really lets you dial in your wake.
There's quite a few active 22i owners on the this board and I'm sure they'll be chiming in

I've had mine since '01. Last of the old lay out. It has yet to let me down. Handles great, rides like a dream and room for days. Everyone in the crew loves it. Plenty of wake to go out and throw inverts, easy to surf and will even tow us through the slalom course in the morning, although it is a bit of a fata$$ for that.
What year 22i are you looking at?You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Thanks guys for all the replies. A little about me and my boating experience. I've been boating my whole life with the family from ski boats to ocean cruisers. I have never owned a direct drive ski boat, but for me now days its all about the watersports. I love wakeboarding, but still would like to enjoy some slalom on occasion. Here is my big concern with this boat; it would be used primarily in Havasu and Parker, im wondering how this boat handles in some chop. I realize it's not gonna be the smoothest boat out there, but am I gonna be pissing blood at the end of the day? And I am looking at an 07. Thanks for all your help guys

We have a '04 22i and love it. It is great, we bought it because we really like the layout. It is different. It is nice and wide, does a great job in chop. Like billspin said the walk through transom is awesome.
I do disagree with what dogbert said as far a weighing goes, I do 40/60 for weight instead of 50/50.
There is only one thing that I would change about the 22i and I think all the 22i owners on here would agree that the bow needs to be higher. But you just have to be on your toes when driving.
I highly recommend the 22i.
Oh yeah, and storage is great as well.

Yes Tige's are extremely good in rough water. I read somewhere on here that one thing about Tige vs. other manufacturers is that Tige's on average weigh like 500 or so pounds more and that is why they handle better. I'm not sure if it is just the extra weight which makes it more solid or if they have a thicker hull or something. All I know is I haven't been in another ski/wakeboard boat that handled rough water anywhere near as well as Tige's I've been in.If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..

If you want a boat that can take it, whatever "it" might be, Tige is the one. The 22i will do it all. Slalom wake doesn't really lay down under 34-35 mph and even then it's a bit of a bump. It will shine everywhere else though. You can run it through the coarse (if you have to) and then go around the corner and surf it and have one of the better surf wakes out there. Awesome all around boat.
And no, you won't be pissing blood nor will it knock the fillings out of your head. You'll get your chance, smart guy.
