Well after putting about 19 hours on the boat I pulled the "dumb *** of the week" mistake. I got all excited about leaving to head to the sandbar on Friday afternoon and unhooked the back end and pushed out, started the boat, put it in gear and VAROOM CLUNK CLUNK. Crap what the hell did I do! I ran over my anchor line and ball. I mangaged to wrap up the drive between the guide and rear of the prop. I ended up having to pull my boat out of the water to cut the rope off. I ended up with a very small ding in my prop which was a non-factor in performance once I put the boat back in the water. Ended up just being a hassle and a good lesson for me to learn with the prop. With my jet I had more leeway for mistakes with anchor lines I guess. Either way not a big deal and the boat ran great the next day and half. I just had to scower up some stuff to re-connect my anchor.

It's a good thing you didn't mess your prop up too bad, the smallest of dings will cause a vibration. At least you didn't do what one of my buddies did and run over your rope handle and tangle the line up in the prob disabling the boat out in the middle of the lake. We had to call one of our friends to come get us on their boat so they could take us to my house so we could get our other boat and tow it home(they didn't want to tow us becasue they were out with a bunch of other people). That's a bad ending of a day because once we got the rope untangled, my handle was still chopped up and totally unuseable.Tige Throws Mad Wake.

That sucks coach ...... did you make it to the sandbar???Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

I did the same thing the first year I had my boat, but when it happened to me the rope got so tight that it cut into the packing on the prop strut support, the packing came out later that weekend and caused a lil vibration (okay alot of vibration)...took it the dealer that following monday and they got it fixed right up- no problems since then!!!
And I even had a "look-out" in the bow of the boat to make sure I didn't hit my anchor line...he got fired!!

BTW I got to try out my stereo at the sandbar! I ended up drowning out about 4 other stereos and took over a 40 yard area with music. All the rap was drowned out by some George Therogood, Jimmy Buffet (5 oClock somewhere), Motley Crue, Van Halen, AFI, etc..... No-one would stand about 30 feet from my boat when the system was on and pumping. Worth every penny!Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

Last summer my friend had bought one of the all carbon triangle straightline handles and on like our 8th trip out, he had to do some fancy maneuvering and backed over the handle chopping it to pieces. It was painful to watch but none of us liked the grip on it so we think it was some sort of omen. Glad to hear your prop isn't vibrating like crazy. On the bright side, you get a new prop with a new RZ4, so you better put your order in today

Bad things happen when you're in a hurry. I'd have your dealer check out the shaft alignment the next time you're in for service. Prop dings are easy to fix, especially if you can pull the prop yourself and find a decent prop repair shop. You'd be amazed what they can fix.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

Nice.... It's like a force-field to protect your boat from a-holes at the sandbar......The only problem with that is it keeps all the hot girls 30ft away tooPut your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour.
