price on tige fox edition

I need help people, I know nothing on these boats,I have had 5 bajas in the last 3 years,I am tired of them and want a wakeboard boat,I like the fox edition,I have found one thats nice a 2001 with tandem trailer, extra boards and a bunch of crap, said no meter but probably 175 hrs on it, whats something like this worth, also would this make me a good boat, Im a ok wakeboarder, thanks for the help

I believe that Nickypoo has a Fox Edition 22i so I'd wait for him chime in but, what engine, options, tower, condition, and trailer does it come with. This will help immensly in giving you a "value" on the boat.

The boat should have an hour meter on it. It's in the guages, so the boat has to be on to see it.

To be a Fox Edition it had to be a 21v. Price could be $25,000-$30,000. The hour meter is built into the multi-function gauge and can be pulled off the ECM.

Mine was a custom ordered Fox package. It wasn't anything more than some stickers and a tower. I have since de-Foxed it and re-towered it. Most Fox editions I've seen were 21v's. The serious wakeboarders have filled in the spray pockets to try to eliminate the small wash at the top of the wake. Not too sure on the results as it's like some bastard love child that nobody wants to acknowledge. If you are an OK wakeboarder, you can load it up and get more than enough wake.

I think Surfdad can speak more on the surf wake, but it should be pretty nice. You will end up surfing, everybody does. To me, the surf wake is far more important. You can strap on a wakeboard and grab a handle and ride to the best of your abilities behind just about any decent tow boat. A nice surfwake is priceless and make all the difference in the world to a wakesurfer. To be stuck with a boat that has a crappy surfwake just sucks. I know people in this situation and they are bummed. $60k bummed.

I would buy for 22,500 and run with it, assuming it appears to be well cared for.

The tower on those has issues, plan that into your costs.

I had an 02 (same hull). The wake surf wake is legendary (Ok, it is really good), and the wakeboard wake is just fine as long as you don't feel a need to put more than 1500 pounds in the boat. There might appear a 1.5 inch wash on top, but it hardly makes any impact on the rider.

For the price, you're getting a great boat. As for the tower, if it's the stock Tige tower, some have reported problems with the tower, but you should be able to check to see if the weld joints are still in good shape. It's an older tower, so it won't look as rad as some of the newer ones, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really make a difference when you're riding.

yeah thats a nice boat. we opted for the '01 22iR but the fox rider's edition was close second. dog is right about the tower though. ours is kinda lame compared to the newer models but it works great and has never been a problem for us. for that price you have a great deal.

If I had to get a D drive, I'd get the 22i/r. I'm not a big fan of d drives, but I really like that boat.

yeah for that price as long as it's in good shape take it and run with it.
