How to mount to a fiberglass wall

I need to mount my battery charger and battery isolator...and many other things in other places...to a wall or the side of the hull, but I can't just use a screw as I don't want to see it coming out the other side.

Anyone have any good methods for doing this?

You can screw to the wall in the compartment under the glove box on the INSIDE WALL ONLY! Also you screw to the inside of the transom... that thing is about an inch and a half thick. I might want to drill a pilot hole first though.

Right, but if I drill through the inside wall, I have a screw sticking out in the walkway. Not only does it look crappy, but I guarantee that I will cut my leg wide open in no time.

LOL.... you won't drill through that wall. That wall is quite a bit thicker than you think. If you use the 1" screws that come w/ most amps, you will not go through the other side. How do you think the factory has the factory amps screwed in? 99% of us have our amps mounted on that wall as well.

Use this glue: K-17403 and you can glue anything to the fiberglass exterior wall.

OK, I can't find it anywhere, but he says that you can use some other strong glue like you might find at Home Depot.

Check out this thread on Wakeworld. This guy does some unbeleivable work with stereos and he mounted multiple amps (expensive ones I might add) with glue.

To add on to TallTige's statement.... IF your going to glue to the port side exterior wall, you should cut back the carpet and glue directly to the fiberglass where needed. I've had an in depth convo w/ Andrew about this and he agreed w/ this. I highly recommend gorilla glue. It is waterproof and will hold up to more than anything you can throw at it. But you won't be able to tear off what you glue w/ it.... so be warned.

yeah, clearly I wouldn't glue to the carpet. I think I'm a bit more comfortable gluing a piece of wood to the side and screwing into that. I know the hull is pretty thick, but with my luck, I'd drill right through it.

Try using Liquid Nails.

This will stick to anything. I've used it for installing a door frame into a brick opening.

Yeah, I've used that for gluing wood strips to concrete. Pretty solid. I think thats what I'm gonna do, cut back the carpet and glue some wood to it to mount my battery isolator and my charger.
