    94 Tige 2002 FLSM??

I am looking at getting my 1st Comp ski boat and found what looks to be a nice 1994 Tige 2002 FLSM Open Bow for a decent price. I am a decent slalom skier and can ski 32 off behind our 18' I/O but looking to get down in the shorter lengths and have a decent recreational wakeboard level ski boat too. I really dont know to much about these boats at all, hoping for some input here! The questions I have are:

    1. What is the exact length of this boat? The lake I ski on doesnt allow any boats longer than 20' 0" and they enfore that heavily.

    2. What does the slalom wake look like on this boat at 34-36mph?

    3. Does anyone have any pics of the slalom wake on this boat they could show?

    4. Is this a good model boat that will provide me years of good service?

Thanks in advance for your help!! I appreciate your expertise from the local Tige experts!!

I had one of the very first models of this boat. If you are into slalom skiing, you are getting the best boat built for that sport. I had almost 600 hours of course time on mine plus another 200 hours of wakeboarding. If you haven't Wakeboarded much this will give a small wake to learn on. If you are going to ski and run a course, you may run a personal best your first time out. If you want to progress on the Wakeboard, remember this boat was designed before wakeboarding became much of a sport and the wakes are small and a bit washed. Be sure to get an extended pylon for wakeboarding, Tige' voids the warranty on the hull and decks for towers on this model. Towers will work, but I like warranties. I have a new 22V and love it, but there are times I miss the sports car handling and incredibly small slalom wake.

Thanks for that flackpack!! Since you had one, can you verify the exact length of this boat?

I am a little fuzzy on the exact dimensions, but I believe from bow to stern was 19' 8", the swimstep makes it a bit longer

I have all the WaterSki Magazine Boat Buyers Guides going all the way back to 1988. I will check tonight on the length and try to scan and paste to test for you to see.....

              Thanks dents!!

Looks like this one might work out. I really want an open bow boat and it's hard to find a comp ski boat open bow under 20' 0"

Any chance you could scan that article in Dents? Would love to read it!!

The boat is a 94 Tige 2002 FLSM Open bow with 320 hours on it. Standard everything, looks like the boat is nice shape. Single axle trailer. Price seems slightly high based on nada.com $13,900 What do you all think a fair offer would be?

That is really a good slalom boat - the wake is world class at 28+ off and over 34mph.

That is a good price - not a steal, but not a rip off either. I would say that $12k would be pretty close to a steal price if the boat is really nice.

I should be able to scan the test in for you. It doesnt say a whole lot but it does rate the wake at different speeds and measures the height and slope of the wake.

That is the only TRUE open bow boat that I have ever seen at 20' or less. There have been a few over the years that were 19'6" (Nautique) that had a step over the windshield open bow which really sucks. The only other boat that is close is the '92 - '95 MC 205 that is 20'6".
