    Buying a Tige!!!

Well my best friend and I have decided its time to buy a real wakeboard boat. We will probably be buying a 2007 Tige 20v in the next week or so if everything works out. White/Black/Green in color with green glass platform. This will be our first wakeboard boat and we are definately getting excited.

Just thought I would share, I can't wait. We are going to drive/ride behind it next week, and then we will make our final decision.

Really looking forward to having this boat!

      Welcome!

You made the right choice. Don't forget to post some pictures.

You said you wanted a real wakeboard boat, and you picked the right one, what did you have previously?

We ride behind my 20ft ProLine Center Console now, with the rope at about 50ft coming off the T-Top. Not bad for learning, but its time to step up!

We are going to start without adding any ballasts, get used to the boat and save some money. After our first service we will probably add in a custom ballast system, but for now we are just doing a few upgrades.

Basically the boat has the 340hp 5.7 engine with a tower and a few other upgrades, but pretty basic for the most part. We are upgrading a few things before we even get it.

              Bimini top
              Tower Speakers
              Amp
              Tower Lights

For now thats the stuff we really want and about all we can afford to add right away. We are only 23 years old so money is a little bit of an issue. Especially considering all my money is tied up in my 3 vehicles (04 Pontiac GTO race car, 07 Caddy CTS-V, 06 Chevy 2500HD Lifted on 35s). So basically I am just happy we are able to afford the boat without over-extending ourselves.

You sound like me with the toys I'm not much older at 26 but I didn't get ballast from the dealer and I'm wishing I would have since it could be included in the loan. The wake is great without it but I started putting 700lbs of weights in the boat to try out what ballast would be like and it makes a MUCH better wake.

Make sure to get a Rockford Amp

Not to dissuade you in any way but there are plenty of 1 year old used boats that need a new home with the RZ2 coming out this year. You could get a bigger boat with all the bling bling included for about the same price as a new 20V. Where are you located?

F1C on this board is actually the dealer I am buying the boat from. I am going to just let him do his thing for the stereo. We usually have 5-7 people on the boat at any given time, so I think we will be alright for weight most of the time! Ballasts will probably get installed before the end of the summer if some of my business deals go through, and as of now they are looking real good!

I am in Florida and in all honestly would prefer to buy a new boat. I dunno, I have just never been big on buying used cars/boats.

Most Tige dealers will make you a really good deal on a used boat and it will be in great shape.

I tend to agree... you never do know who the previous owner was and what they did in the boat. I keep my boat extremely clean compared to others I've been on and there's just something about getting a fresh new boat/car.
