    You are correct, sir.

So to do snap-out carpet there would have to be alot more to do? Right?
Penske is the core material and is glassed into the floor.

Ok, I looked, but couldn't find it...and since I'm old (and have a memory like a sieve) I can't remember where it was. Since you know it all, any helpful links?

hmmm they could still tub out the top half and bond it to the bottom half.

how you going to get the proper ratio of glue in the middle of the tube and be able to apply even amounts of preasure to insure a good bond? make that an excellent bond? i do not want some crap boat just to have snap in carpet.

well, to Ensure a good bond, they could do it... well.. just like they do the rest of the hull.

Either that or they could lay down a layer of fiberglass on top of the penske and drop in the top half the same way they do now.

Or, they could simply gelcoat it and offer another color choice for the inside of the boat.

How to do it is what they have engineers for.

if you look at the picture you can tell that the penske board has fiberglass on it now, that is why it is red.
