    First Trip is a Success

Ok I just got back from my first offical river trip of the year with the RZ2.

Let me post the bad first. Both bow cushion seats broke!. Yes the Virgin board was "POPPED" The picks are attached. Tige you might look to re-enforce the seat base.

Ok that was the bad so here is the good.

The boat rocked!!! I can't tell you how happy I am with the performance of this boat after a weekend at the river. I rode like a champ in the rough stuff. If you have ever been in the Topock gourge you know how bad it gets and it shined!!

We boarded a bunch and I also surfer for the first time. I was able to get up on the first try and was starting to get it.

The kids tubed alone (5 and 2.5) with the Wetsounds supplying the sweet tunes that they picked (Wiggles, Beastie Boys, Gwen, and some Ramones) I don't think they know most kids don't have their own playlist to listen to while tubing.

We put on just over 4 hours of use in 1.5 days. And only used about 1/2 tank of gas (last year that much use would have been about 50 gallons for me) I saw a ton of Tiges out on the water this weekend. Made a trip to the sandbar and had a great time overall.

I can't recommend Tige more than I do now after a real trip with the boat.

All of my buddies really liked the boat and couldn't believe all of the space and room the boat had.

And another good thing is I was able to clean the vinyl so it looked better (still not perfect but much better)

I used Meghires Multi purpose cleaner cut to 4 to 1 and used a vinyl brush to clean the dirt out. After that I used Meghires Vinyl and rubber cleaner with the vinyl brush and it cleaned it a bit more and also protected it. After the weekend it held up nicely and lookes like the Meghires is the way to go with the new vinyl

It looks like something is not flat.
Did they brake while they where installed?
If so I would think that they might have been rocking a little
      .

Both were in the boat and in correctly. I just have some huge friends who were in the bow on our way back from the sandbar so we hit some choppy water and then a POP. I think there is too much surface area across and the rough conditions put them straight down in the middle of seat where there is no support.

Platt man snapped the first one in the pick. 6-6 225 lbs the other seat had a 6-4 275 lbs guy in it. Who needs ballast when you have friends like mine

Can't wait to get your kids in the tube rocking the Wiggles- before you know it that is what will be requested in your boat.

Looks like you have a good trip overall.... There is no better feeling than taking your new boat out for the first real trip.....

I'm sure you'll get those seats replaced without a problem. I can't believe it happened while they were sitting though. I was hoping to hear there 8 chicks dancing up there when it happened. Keep us up to date on how well the Meguiar's works and if it attracts dirt as well. I took a Magic Eraser to one of my seats and it is amazing how much dirt came out of a seat that looked clean.

The Meguiar's worked very well. I cleaned and used it before I launched Saturday morning. It stayed clean all weekend with minimal cleaning on Sunday. The spots that did get some dirt cleaned up very quickly with the vinyl brush

My just turned 3 on Friday year old prefers Slipnot and System of a Down. The 5 year old likes older Bush, Foo Fighters, and System as well......No room for Wiggles around here....my 3 year old would probably punch the Wiggles in the face and tell them to grow a set.

Any problems with the mussle situation? Did your boat get inspected? Let us know.

No issues. Had the boat inspected it took about 1.5 minutes for them to do it. There was all ready a back up with trucks.
