There's definitely something wrong with the PerfectPass if it's doing that, but is sounds like there are some other issues.

The Tige speedset is pretty nifty, but last time I checked you could only change speeds in 1/2 mile increments. With PerfectPass, you can adjust speed in smaller increments.

Regardless, I'd get one or the other...it's a great addition to your new boat.

It sounds like that 6.0L is having symptoms of the vapor lock mentioned here previously. The digital throttles are nice but there is no reason the perfect pass should be any worse with the mechanical throttle. If you want to demo a 2005 24V with Perfect Pass and 6.0L without vapor lock I could probably meet you this weekend. Let me know.

its not vapor lock, it was a plug wire that got knocked off, 8 new plugs and it runs like a champ, went ahead and bought the 05.

I look forward to seeing another red 05 as well. Since I am looking to sell in the next 16 months or so, can you PM me what your purchase price was?

thanks guys, this is quite a change for me, my last boat was a 35 foot nordic flame with twin 500hp mercs, it will take some getting use to, this boat will definately be more all around fun, except for the speed of course.

                      Going fast is way overrated

I'm sure you have some buddies who'll take you for a ride when you need a speed fix.

Of course it is, do you know how much it costs to go fast? Feeding 1000hp Premium has got to suck.
