      I would remove as many of the hoses as you can and flush backwards with water. I am unsure hoe the Tiges are raw water plumbed but on a I/O the PS is first and typically gets 99% of the debris.

        I took my boat into to get it winterized, which included an oil change. I had disconnected some hoses and drained the water out of the drain plugs due to the freezing temperatures and made sure that it was noted on the work order. Anyway, they called me and wanted to charge me $400 for a new impeller. I knew the impeller was fine when I took it in because I had just changed it - I think the tech never read the order and hooked it up with the hose loose. They did the right thing and didn't charge me for the impeller. When I went to pick it up, they had bumped the boat that ripped my cover and left a small scratch. When I got it home, I looked at the oil stick and the oil looked very dirty. So I pumped the oil out and took the boat back and showed them the oil. They claimed it was residual oil, and the color of oil that they used, that made it look dirty, but they put new oil in it. They looked into the ripped cover, but they claimed that their workers never hit my boat. Needless to say, I wasn't thrilled about that particular service visit, but they tried to make it right with the exception of the ripped cover. However, I plan on doing my own oil changes and winterization from now on.

            That's a bummer. You might want to share your experience with Tige if they don't make it 100% right. Once again, the dealer makes a difference...lucky for me we have the Ski Dock.

                i used to winterize my boat. Now in cali I just put a 100watt bulb in it, and it kept it well into the 60's, even when it dipped below 22 outside

                  Thats really risky here as some days it dosen't break into the 30's and lows in the -2's...but the water temp is up too 52* now

                    I agree, a good dealer makes a huge difference. It turned into a "he said, she said" on the ripped cover and I ended up paying $20 to get the cover fixed. They have a new service manager who came directly from the Tige plant. I talked with him at the boat show and seems like a pretty decent guy so I am willing to give them another chance.

                      $400 to change the impeller? I just bought 2 of them today for $60. Man they can charge some labor time to these boats. I will be doing mine soon (without the KY).

                        Get a "Pro-flushional". It is easy to use and has never given me a problem. I've seen them at several boat places for about $25. The Fake-a-lakes always look like they can slip off.

                          Run your normal hose to the shut-off and the 15 footer from the shut-off to the Pro-flusional/fake-a-lake. Make sure the shut-off is placed where you can reach it from inside the boat.

                          Turn the water on at the faucet and off at the shut-off. Turn the Shut-off on and start the boat after you hear water hitting the ground.

                              I don't use the fake-a-lake. Too much money just so you can crawl under the boat. I simply built a "L" out of some 1" copper pipe (cost me about 5 bux total), made one end the same length as the depth of a 5 gallon bucket. The other end has an adapter on it so it fits nicely into the clean-water intake hose.

                              All I do is hook the pipe up to the intake hose, fill the bucket with water and off I go. You do have to keep one or two garden hoses standing by to keep the bucket filled.

                              IMO, the fake-a-lake doesn't provide enough water to the motor if you are doing anything other than idling...like adjusting timing or carbs or something.

                                also, in all my 'driveway tuning' on my old Supra, I found that a single garden hose was not enough water flow to keep up with the boat. I have always needed two. One on full, and the other about 1/2 open.
