ok, so on eBay, a 2001 Yamaha 250 outboard motor is almost $6k. Do some simple math .... 6x8=48 ..... so thats $48,000 worth of just motors. Now, someone tell me how many V8's you could put inline for $48k. I'll be you'd end up with more than 2000 HP.

I think their business plan was all wrong

Ok, that is for an older motor, look at what a new 250 costs, like 12-14k. Then do the math. I know those aren't brand new motors, but they were probably put on there when they were new. Figure they were atleast 9-10k each. Then that is about 80k in motors. I don't know if any of you have ever looked at the RIB boats, but they are stupid expensive to begin with.

It only does 60? well think how wide the beam is on that boat. your compairing it to a 19' bass boat w/a 7'6 beam. If the cowling on the motor is 2 feet, then you would have a 16' wide boat and I think that boat would be a tad bit longer that your bass boat comparisons.

I have done 90 in my friends fathers svt. Would like to break a 100 just to see what is like on the water and dont forget....the closer you are to the water the faster it seems you are going.

I plan on riding my buddy's new race ski this summer. It is projected to do 85.
I have done 73 on his last ski and let me tell you 70 is pretty fast on a jetski.
