I bought a run dry Globe impeller for about the same price as a regular rubber one. I found the best way to order was to get the old one out, measure it and count the blades, then find a replacement online. Mine came from reddenmarine.com, but they had a limited number of models.

GLOBE impellers are made of elastomer compounds, developed for optimum performance and self lubricating for run-dry protection. Additionally, GLOBE impellers have greater resistance to sand and dirt abrasion.
All GLOBE impellers are made from elastomers giving them the combined characteristics and multiple properties of rubber, nitrile, viton and neoprene.Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to a lack of alcohol.
