Took the boat out today and there was a lot of crud floating in the lake from the big rains last week. Probably should have gone back in but didn't notice it until I was up the river a ways. Anyways boat started overheating. Does fine at slow speed but seems to be starved for water since it gets hotter the faster I run. I am hoping that my problem is just clogged hoses and not something more serious.
I am thinking that I just picked up some crud and need to blow it out. Unfortunately, I am working with dial-up internet so it is making my research tough, searching at 49kbps is oh so painful. Can anybody help me with directions on where to flush? Is there any easy connection or do I have to disassemble hoses?
Are these things like cars, that when they run hot you need to replace the thermostat?
I am due for some maintenance so I am trying to decide if this is something that I can do on the lift or let the boys from Ski Dock figure it out.
Thanks for the help.
