Maybe someone had a teak platform made for a RZ2 and set it on a platform for a test fit. I am just guessing.

        Good guess......

Looks like they are going back to the old size and not the smaller replacement one that we received. They need to look at the design where the teak is against the boat. Looks like pretty thin strip right in the center of the first board. Good place for delamination separation and cracking to start.

It looks like the first strip is two pieces with a tapered edge.

Seems like people either love Teak or hate it. I love it. Out of curiosity how do the fiberglass platforms hold up to wakeboard fins repeated wear? I have only seen one fiberglass platform in person, on a friends Moomba, and the rubber and fiberglass took a beating after a couple of seasons. I have to sand the edges of my teak platform at the end of the season to clean up the wear from repeated board rubbing, but that and some teak oil do the trick. I guess a lot of the wear has to do with how you put your board on. We all do it standing on the platform and the fins rub the edge of the platform when we slide in.

By the way, thanks for the entertaining discussions and boat pics to get me through the off season. I am a frequent lurker but an infrequent poster...

After one season, our F/G deck has little or no signs of board wear.

Right on Chpthril, I should have figured that Tige would build the fiberglass platform to take a beating.

thats not a bad idea as long as it dosen't tear up the bottem of the boards or feet or butts

are you seriously thinking about it?
