That is a tough question to answer! Luckily my wife usually wants a new boat before I do.

We are going to have the current one for awhile though. The RZ2 did set us to thinking about getting a new boat for a couple months though.

We bought it even before measuring to make sure it would fit in the backyard. Sure enough, it wouldn't! I had to pay $800 to have two trees cut down and the stumps ground and then I had to rework the gate and the fence to be a little wider so I could swing the boat in.
Oddly enough...I'm fairly conservative. I always make sure that my wife is on board with big financial decisions. I don't push her one way or another. I just hope that she sees it my way...and she did in this case. I have learned that even if you are convinced that it is the right decision and your wife isn't...you will never enjoy it.

My problem is that my boat hasn't had a payment. New boat = new payment. So, until my dealer offers me a new boat and can hide the payment from the wife, NGH.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one to hide big financial decisions from my wife either. I guess I can't say that I force them on her either. we will usually have a healthy conversation and come to some sort of a rational decision. The problem comes in when she wants something as bad as I do and those two things are not the same thing.

                  Congrats on the new boat.

Since this type of thread is meant to digress, I digress: I bought my first boat without telling the wife it was coming. Was going to be a big surprise for Christmas day! Let's just say it was ... a surprise. Bad idea. Very bad idea. I assumed she just sort of knew, it was the only thing I talked about for 3 months, but I guess she didn't.

Now we discuss large purchases together. My next boat had a more happy homecoming.
                  Be excellent to one another.

Ok, it's not like my wife isn't understanding...when you already have 3 boats, some jet skis, 3 4 wheelers, 2 homes and a bunch of other stuff that she can't find value in, the $40K+ for a new Tige begins to take a lower priority. I'm not really complaining. Like I said, I like my boat and until the 22 Ve came out, there really wasn't a whole lot of reason to upgrade. The RZ2 makes me think even harder, but, again, it's not like it does stuff my boat won't do (besides look really cool).

My kids are getting close to driving/college, so I have other priorities. Howevever, if I win the lottery tomorrow, my first stop will be the Tige dealer

Trust me, I often wish my life were far simpler...my Tige and a comfortable bed to sleep in.

Let me simplify for you then. Send me the title for your other toys, and your "other" house. I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands.

That would be even more complicated as my brood has grown accustomed to being spoiled.

                              Sigh....
