You don't have to manually use the Perko switch with EDIB. It's all automatic, so you don't accidentally run down both batteries.

I figured out it is EIDB and I think it is either Electronic Isolator for Dual Batteries or maybe Electronic Intelligent Dual Batteries. I like the second one. Oh well, back on topic now maybe

I'm jealous...my wife said what's wrong with our boat when I asked. She kinda had me there...

My wife initially said the same thing. The truth of the matter is she didn't have a problem with our current boat...and neither did I. She will enjoy either, as will I. She just didn't want to hear me talk about upgrades.

I had a choice--stick X amount of money into upgrades for the current boat, or stick x amount of money into a downpayment for a new boat that has all that upgrades plus a warranty and custom colors. The deal worked out so the monthly payment fit perfectly into our budget. It just sort of worked itself out and fell into place. It is just one of those things...

We had to finance 2 years longer than we did on our original boat. There isn't a doubt in either of our eyes, now that we have had some time in our boat, that we are going to continue to boat for many years to come. 2 years additional means nothing at this point. We absolutely fell in love with the boating life. The payment increase was very minimal. I know that I'm paying more interest, but really it comes down to the payment and how it fits into your budget. Since our payment fit comfortably originally and the increase was minimal, the new payment does as well.

I should have my wife talk to her, she is the one that had to convince me we could afford it...still not sure we can but she had a compelling argument Plus we loved the Tige the second we got in it when we demoed. We bought it even before measuring to make sure it would fit in the backyard. Sure enough, it wouldn't! I had to pay $800 to have two trees cut down and the stumps ground and then I had to rework the gate and the fence to be a little wider so I could swing the boat in.
