Well, my wife and I have made a HUGE decision. We bought our 05 22v last Aug. We immediately fell in love with the boat and everything that comes along with it. It has brought much joy to our lives.
As some of you know by my super long "alternator", "second battery install", etc. posts, I was planning to add a bigger alternator, second battery, and bigger stereo system. The, I got an uexpected bonus check which was going to allow me to get ballast and perfect pass this spring.
While I was planning the installs I previously mentioned, I have spent significant amounts of time talking with our local dealership. All along I have said that I would, if the right opportunity presented itself, sell the boat and get into a newer boat that has all the features that I was planning to install. The boat, price, and timing would have to be right. Well...that is exactly what happened.
My dealership put an offer on the table for a new boat that I couldn't pass up...that is IF the right buyer came along for my boat. Then, within 2 days, that buyer showed up. He offered to pay what I needed out of it to get me into the new boat, which was a fair value.
Today, my order was placed for the 2007 22ve. My wife and I are super excited about it. I never planned on this happening...it just did. From the first phone call from the dealership to today was only about 1.5 weeks total.
Don't get me wrong. I loved my 05 22v. I just made the decision to take the cash I was going to put into it and put it into a down payment on the new boat (factory installs, warranty, custom colors, etc). I had no problems whatsoever sticking with the 05 if the sale fell through.
Here is what my wife and I decided on:
-07 22ve
-MP 340 HP
-Razorback colors (Red,Black,White)
-Speedset
-EDIB
-E-tower
-Factory Ballast
-Docking Lights
-Bimini (black)
-Teak Platform
-Trailer with disc brakes
-Cover
You may see that I left "stereo" off the list. Since I already owned the wetsounds pro80s, 3 amps, and the sub, I decided to save money on the price by only having the basic system installed from the factory (Clarion CDM4, and Kicker KS deck speakers). I will install the rest of the equipment when the boat comes in.
I have attached a picture of the boat off Tige's website and a picture from build a boat.
I want to give a HUGE thanks to SPHARIS and anyone else that took time to help explain every little detail about adding a second battery, isolators, alternators, etc. I really, really appreciate it. I know that I asked a ton of questions.
