Just wondering what most of you w/ Extreme trailers have as your ball height and is there any special wiring needed to be done? I have a Ford and I am wondering if there is a plug that is offered to go right into the tow package plug on the Ford?

I don't know how new your Ford is, but if you have the large 7 pin outlet from the factory since '96, you will be in good shape. You will need an adapter plug for your new trailer which is a flat "5" pin plug. The 5th pin is connected to your reverse lights, and Ford pre-wires for it. This will lock out the trailer brake surge lock when backing the trailer. Tige Watersports carries it in stock as does the RV supply down the street from them.
As far as hitch drop, you will need to measure that on your own when hooked up with your vehicle. I have a 2wd '04 Expedition which I use a 2" drop for towing. I had a '00 2wd Excursion with a 4" drop turned up for towing. All you need to do is put a level on the trailer with your current hitch, and estimate a level towing attitude. You can even get a new drawbar at Tige Watersports while you are getting your plug adapter.

I was just told today by a friend that all I have to ask for is the Ford adapter? That he uses the round I think 7 pin and everything works fine. I have a 2002 with the towing package and it seems like everyone had to make some sort of mod to get the trailer to work. Should I even worry about this now or tomorrow when I pick it up? Seems like the big round connector would be the way to go. Forgive me for my ignorance..
