Terry is great to work with also - he is the owner and Kevin is his son if I remember correctly. There is a 1/4" rubber pad that mounts between the tower and the boat and also on the underneath side between the plate and the boat - you should not ever have a cracking problem.

Here is the new Rat Cage tower design on a 22V. Wake Designs is suppose to be sending me some of the Evolution tower as well.

That is NICE! I like my original Rat Cage but that looks much better with the curved base instead of the more squared base like on mine! I actually called WD when I first saw that new tower to see if the curved base would line up with my top section - which it does not

Matt That is the tower I'm leaning towards, just waiting for some pics to see how it looks on a boat.

The tower on the blue boat is not a standard rat cage. If I remember right, they custom made the lower part so it would fold down and fit under a garage door.

cheeky Your right, this is the WD Monsoon tower which replaced the rat cage tower.

The pacific boat also has an extra removable piece on the rear arm that the standard towers do not have so it would fit in a standard garage door height of 7'.

I have the same tower as dents. It does move a little bit, but I don't think it's anything to excessive. I mean it a bunch of alumn, bolted to your boat, with multiple joints, so you are going to get movment. The only way to get truely no movement is to not have any joints, so there is no room for flex, but then you also can't take it down.
