Speaking of diesels....
Anyone here heard the new 08' Ford Superduty's? Pretty dang quiet! My father showed up at one of my jobsites yesterday in a new one. I was pretty impressed. Diesel's finally taking over here in the U.S. boys and girls. Heck you even see it in little econ. cars now. Of course by the time we get caught up, europe will be on to something else.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Diesel is going to be the next big thing
Guy's I work in the automotive industry where I have to keep certain things confidential. But I can tell you Diesel is the next big thing coming from Ford, GM, and many other manufactures on the small cars. They are super quiet and in many cases you can not even here them run. It is amazing. Be ready in the next five years for some major changes.

I don't know, I just read a report on the Geneva auto show that just ended and they had a lot to say about the new diesels that are coming out that give hybrids and alternative fuels a run for their money. I think for the big American three to keep up with brands like VW, Honda, Toyota, BMW, and Mercedes as far as alternatives to gas, they will resort to some pretty neat powerplants that run on diesel and other fuels.

Some how i doubt my "daddy" will be out of a job. Everyone is blown away by Toyota and how good their mgp is, every one needs to pull their head out and see that Toyota has reached its tops. I don't like the term "the big three" because chrysler has been a slide for what seems like for ever, ford is better off than chrysler and GM's pieces are falling into place. Why would any of these companies stray far from the goverments plan to expand ethonal. i'm not saying that there will be no expansion in diesel, but why not take some of the help that the government is trying to hand out. And what happens to all the R&D money that went into hydrogen technology? Do you think they'll say " oh screw that, lets do diesel." so if your going to bet that diesel will take over for the next 15-20 years i say good luck to that bet.
By the way anhaney what kind of car do you drive?
