                              regarding the algae produced biodiesel:
                              http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drm...339051,00.html

Basically, they're growing lipid-producing algae in long, tubular bags. Each bag has a roller that travels back and forth over the length of the bag. This allows there to be more algae exposed for photosynthesis. The mature algae is then harvested and the oils are extracted. Biodiesel, Jet-A and other types of fuels are then refined from the bio-crude.

The added benefit is that the algae actually consumes CO2, as part of the photosynthesis process.
