      HA HA HA.

Well if you want to know why diesel is higher now I can tell you, and I can also tell you why gas will be soon higher then diesel again. Just let me know if you want a story. Diesel is back to equal with gas here in cali.

Bio is only cheap if you can get the free oil from bars/grills, etc.

well it's like this. To get the ULSD you have to use a premium cude. Before to get diesel you could use the cheap crude, since it didn't matter. Diesel is a by product of gas, meaning you "boil" off diesel at a lower temp then gas. So for the longest time to get gas you get diesel as a by product. But then the government stepped in and said we have to quit putting so much sulfur into the air, and we had to make a cleaner diesel.

This is why diesel went up, premium crudes cost more, so therefore like anything it goes up in price.

Now the gas story and our gov. Arnold. He pledged that we would make a cleaner gas, by reducing the amount of carbon going into the air in cali. Well incase you hadn't noticed, what starts in cali ends up going from coast to coast.... so believe you me, that to get the carbon out it will require more refinning, and that means more$$$$$

they do use crude. It's a more expensive crude, that has better qualities. and hence costs more. there are lots of different styles of crude.

some crude is like water, some is like coal, where they litterly mine it out of the ground. and then it comes in anything n between.
