Teak is easy to maintain. I take my platform off a couple times a year. Put it on some horses in the driveway and use the star brite 3 step on it and bam that bad boy is shines better than new.

I have teak and I have been sanding and oiling for the last few weekends, it looks 100% better. It was grey and now it is back to brown. It isn't in boat show condition, but that's just because I've only been oiling.

This was from an RZ2 at the Vegas boat show. I still can't tell for sure how much it is selling for. One of the bottom numbers is 78K.

The line is just 2nd from the bottom for 'custom colour fiberglass swim platform' for $400 extra. Pulease.
They were lower then Hyper Price at the show. If I remember correctly that boat was $66K and the other was $62K.

Yes, it is strange that the fiberglass costs more. Last I checked wood cost more then fiberglass.

My 06 has 2 quick pins to pull and it slides right out of the transom brackets.

Both have pros/cons but for me at came down to looks. Some color schemes look better w/teak and some look better / boby color F/G.

That is weird, I once bought a 2"x4"x6' teak plank and it cost my $85

In the summer I sometimes ride with a guy who has a MC X-9. He has the same thing. 2 pins and the whole thing comes off. Pretty handy for storage, especially in tight spots. But also if you do back into a tree or something, taking it off easily to get it repaired could be a bonus.

This place has pretty good prices on teak and it's thin so you don't have to plane it (at least not alot to level it).

I clean teak with Comet and a scrubb brush...it works great. Then I use Starbrite Teak Sealer. Haven't messed with it in 2 years. It looks a little more orange than teak oil, but very easy to maintain.

when you buy 800 teak platforms and 100 fiberglass platforms who is going to give you a better price.

That's because they didn't have wakeboards (only skis). Now we have to have a place to store jet skis
