    California Get together

We need to get to gether in California before it gets to crazy and to late in the year. If your wives are like mine the water will need to be 75+ degrees though. But hey mine drives the boat if the water is to cold. We just need to find a good lake in a central location to do this. If we do it before the middle of MAY we will beat the summer crowds and everyone can bring tools and knowlege to help each other get there boat fine tuned for the season. Any one up for the idea.

Hmmm...Bass Lake south of Yosemite would be a great place to meet.
    Ambivalent? Yes. Or Not.

Lake Millerton, The Delta, Lake San Antonio, Naciemento, Don Pedro, or even McClure. They are all good places

              Central Lakes

Okay, I am a little new to the lakes in CA but I have heard McClure is nice. I have also heard that Naci, San Antono, Lake Lopez are also nice. The ones close to the beech should be warm by that time. I have gone to Lake Shaver and Huntington every year for the last five years. But I think Huntington and shaver are going to be to cold at that time of year for our wifes.

Those coastal lakes can get warmer than the foothills / mountain lakes, but they are also windier too. I've heard some say Naci can get get real bad at at times. McClure is a nice lake, one of those long and skinny lakes but it seems to have plenty of room though. Don Pedro is nice as well and bigger with nice campgrounds and amenities. The only rule per se at Don Pedro is no pets so fido has to stay home.

I vote for Don Pedro- there are a couple nice beach areas we could all tie up at..

                      The Dates

Here is the dates I think would be best. June 1,2 & 3rd for those who want to stick around for Sunday. I will return on Saturday. We will need to find a lake that is around the Fresno area. This way everyone has about the same drive time. Not sure what lakes are around there except Bass, Shaver, and Huntington. Huntington will be real cold at that time of the year. So will Shaver. I hear that Pine Flats, and Bass are close to Fresno but I am not sure of the water tempature during that time of the year so any input will help. If we do it near Fresno we may be albe to get the Fresno dealer involved in the event. Just my thoughts and ideas but the Date I gave would work best for our family.

We went to Lake Millerton just outside Fresno around the same time last year. Water and Air temperature were comfortable and weekend crowds were not overwhelming...

Millerton is a pretty good place and you can make reservations for the rv full hookup sites and they are all in the same area. Real close to the launch ramp and day camping.
