I get that when I am not pulling anything. When I pulled my boat back to Utah last October I averaged 14 pulling the boat and the best I was able to get was 16. That was traveling 65 70 MPH pulling the boat. I never thought I would buy a Foreign full size turck but they have gained my confidence.

I know for a fact that the QX56's get nowhere near that mileage. I've rented plenty of them for business and I average about 11mpg on the freeway towing NOTHING! Those things are gas hogs

Kscales,
You'll love the interior of the Lariat.... that's the one thing I do like about this truck...lol. If you can swing it, get the sunroof with the power sliding rear window. It's nice on those evening drive homes from the lake. Open the sunroof and crack the back glass, and you get a nice breeze blowing through. No need for A/C.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

Diesel still better
I still think Diesel is the best way to go though. If I could find 60,000 I would go with a diesel. Nissan is supposed to be comming out with a Diesel some time soon, Rumor is it will have a 18,000 Lbs. tow capacity. We will see. It must me a dulley with Semi tires on it or somthing.

Ford is coming out with a new V6 diesel this spring/fall for the there 150. Also the rumor is a bit of a facelift for the current F150 to compete with the new GMC/Chevy.
I am not sure what I am going to do, wait for the new version and options or buy now... The smaller diesel is interesting as the rumors are the torque will be well more then the current 5.4.
Talk about the market heating up.Tige owner since 2006
