I love the 'stupid ramp stories' that have been posted...I learn tons about what not to do on the launch ramp. Pictures are even better!

Just make a trip to Site #6 in Havasu and in one weekend you can have a life time of pictures and stories. Centerville, one of our local lakes doesn't really have the drunk idiots per say, but we get the stupid ones coming out in droves. It takes me and a buddy maybe 2 mins to load/launch my boat. I've seen dudes with a 16 foot alumacraft fishing boat and a 15hp outboard take .... and I'm not kidding .... 15 minutes to load their damn boat. We timed it one day. unbelievable.
Around here it seems the only ones who know how to launch/load a boat are the ones who have paid top dollar for it. The nice bass boats, and the board/ski boats.Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to a lack of alcohol.Comment

I know what you mean. A grandfather was teaching his grandson (and friends) to load the bass boat. He was giving lecture after lecture. We were at about 20 minutes at this point. Then he finally started pulling forward and I noticed the front strap was not on. I let him know and he said some insulting words to me about minding my own business.
A couple of seconds later... there was this crash and the boat was just sitting there on the ramp. You guessed it, had to go to a different ramp!

It was funny cause as soon as he realized what had happened. He said a couple of words to himself and then looked a me for a second and then got out and started yelling at his grandson. He did notice me and my crew laughing. It was before the days of camera phones so we did not get a picture.If its not fun, Why do it?Comment
