    So Cal Lakes

Just wondering what lakes most of you ride at in So Cal? I have been on Elsinore and was a little worried about the green glow. It looked as if we were boating in Simple Green. I have ridden Perris as well.

Just wondering what lakes you mostly frequent out here?

Perris is where I go, just have to go first thing (6am) on the weekends before all the idiots on jet skis start showing up. Usually done by 9 or 10am. I was actually there this last weekend on both Saturday and Sunday.

Canyone Lake is nice but you have to live there in order to get a boat on the water.

Your right about Elsinore....it really sucks!

Yeah I went to Perris on a weekday and it was cool. Of course I had a neighbor tell me stories about that lake too that made me cringe. What stinks is I have found really nice lakes but there is a speed limit of 10mph so that doesnt work. Lake Skinner was one of them. I heard San Vicente was nice in SD county but there is a limitation there too I think.

Canyon Lake is nice but I can only ride there when my buddy decides to go out. Thats not very often.......

San Vicente and El Capitan are the best in San Diego.

San Vicente offers waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, etc. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and certain holidays, from sunrise to sunset during the summer (mid-May to early November). During the winter (early November to early May) water contact is allowed only on Thursday and Friday. Personal watercraft (jetskis, waverunners, etc.) are not permitted on San Vicente at any time. ON WATER CONTACT ONLY DAYS (FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY) DURING SUMMER, ALL USERS PAY THE DAY USE FEE.

El Capitan normally allows both waterskiing and use of personal watercraft such as jetskis on open days from sunrise to sunset. However, currently there is no waterskiing or towing due to the low water level. Use of personal watercraft is only permitted from May through October, and only in the personal watercraft zone next to the dam

Yeah I have heard San Vicente is nice. Its crazy all these restrictions I am hearing about though. Growing up on Berryessa in Nor Cal there was never a time frame where you could do this or couldnt do that. Ohh well.

I'm glad that there arent those crazy restrictions on Dallas Lakes...Yet again, Dallas lakes are muddy, low, and crowded and these lakes (from the pics on websites) are clean and all that good stuff...

                            In a word....Cold

The lake was cool, I liked it a lot and so did my buddies. Girls liked it cause they actually got to go on the tube, something they can't do @ Lake Perris.

Was the lake busy or did you have it to yourself?
