Same here....had and still have a GT Pro Performer (with all the fixings) and all the family has GT Mountian and street bikes.
Didnt GT sell out to Huffy???
Not sure it was Huffy but they are now made in China and not in USA. None of the frames are hand made anymore. I have a nice hand made Zaskar LE that is a great frame
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

It is a company called dorel and they still make a couple of their high end frames, such as the zaskar, by hand, but not in the US.
Been to the Boundry Waters. You will absolutely enjoy it! Fishing is great! The scenery is amazing! The mosquitos suck. Saw a quite a few bears and even a couple a little too close for comfort but all in all a couple pots and pans take care of that problem. It is amazing when you get way back in to some of the waters, and you wont see a person for days on end. That is a good feeling. We did a 12 day trip and paddled for about 145 miles. Really had a great time.
Been to philmont twice and both times we did over 100 miles. For both trips the shower at the end is really a God Send. All i can say is do as much as you can while in the troop. You will not regret it one bit.
Save that $100 for another trip. You will find it hard to get the 14 days free to ever be able to take those trips again!
Man you really should think about going into sales...you almost had me thinking!
