Which batteries are best for audio power??

    How was the maintainance on the T105's? Did you need to add water often?

      Interesting! I think I'm going to go and get some t-105s Have you had any problems with them during the hot OK summer? How often did you have to check them to make sure they were ok?

      Let me know!

      Bako Cali where I live is just as hot as OK, so if they worked last year for you, they should work here for me

              Those are 8D RV batteries. There are many guys down here running one or one guy has 2 of them. They are 175 lbs each and have over 400 Ah each. They run between $385 and 500 each. They are a great way to go if you have room. for one.

                  You just need the 20 Amp unit. The save the extra money for gas

                    I have found the 40 amp units cheaper than the 20 amp units. Should I just keep looking for the 20 amp?

                      Really?!! I really don't know for sure. I would ask Spharis (sp?) or call Xantrex and see what they say. It will charge it faster but I am not sure if it will cause any damage or not.

                          Oh ya, I know that sticker! The fear here is from the big automotive style charger/starters that can put out 16 to 18 volts when on hi/boost. This kind of voltage spike can fry electronics.

                          Any onboard multi-stage trickle charger (battery tender) probably will not exceed 14 volts which is the normal volt output level of the alternator.

                            Like Coach said, it will charge faster but I would check with the manufacturer. Ask what the max volt output is (should not exceed 14v) and is it a multi-stage charger (a 40 amp continuous will over charge/boil a battery)

                              I would go with the slower charge. It will help maintain the battery life. There is a reason battery conditioners have a slower charge than a jump charger.

                                I thought that the amp rating, 40 or 20, was the max rating and that as the battery becomes charged, the rate steps down or "trickles". I will call Xantrex and get their opinion also.
