Transom light - How about it

The transom light has got to be one of the coolest accessories for any boat to hit the market. Has anyone installed one of these yet? I see many of the 07's have it as an option. How tough could it be?

Not sure about how hard it would be to install.........but I know that Pauly *DCSNOWWAKE* has it on his new RZ2 and from what my dealer says that thing is SUPER BRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pricey as well....i want to say like 300 bucks for just the light and accessories! If anyone attempts it please share with all of us how you went about it! I would LOVE to put one on my boat!

I am sure it would not be tough to install. I agree that I have heard the several hundred $$$ figure. Here in Montana you can't ski or board at night so how much would it be used??? Looks great though.

Here's one not too expensive. I would like LED more for less heat and less energy use.

          I love the thing!
yes it is "illegal" at night, but i go out on the private side of lake anna where DNS is never there (there always on the private side, except july 4th)

its awesome to wakesurf with! best thing ever. everyone says it looks cool following you too with it on.

Our 06 came with one and we love it. No water sports after dark but it's great for swimming. Makes a good crappie light too

I'd say the hardest part of the install would be cutting the hole. From there run a wire to an unused switch.

Here is the transom light on my 22Ve. Great for night surfing, plus it just looks cool at night.

You guys got it all wrong, here's what you need to do.

Make sure to read down the thread for more pics. He actually used the platform brackets as an electrical conductor so no holes were drilled in the transom. A bit over the top but with his boat I'm not suprised.

I love the LED idea for night. We do night floats all the time in the summer and some blue LED's would be sweet even off of the swimstep, but I think I will get by without for a while .

i like the idea of some led's here and there, and think I'll probably add some in the cup holders so you can find your beer after hours It seems we are always floating after dark. I think I'll probably add something, just not sure what. Guess I'll have to look into it. Don't wanna go to extreme, but just thinking out loud Wanna add all stainless cup holders first, but guess I might as well wait till the others break first

                              Coach,

You need the blue swimstep lights and then add the Leds to the Wakesounds like Mikeski did. That set up made those speakers look 10x's better.
