    Jim,

If you didn't have a job or any other kind of life, it would be interesting to see your parts list and prices. I am surprised it comes out so much. I forgot to add the nearly $100 in connectors that I had to buy.
    Be excellent to one another.

I am doing a spreadsheet in my spare time. Alot at this time is guess work since I do not have my measurements. Already saved some money as I think I will use the tsuanmi 800's which are $25 each. I wanted the 1200's but the odd size is just too much DIY. Biggest cost are the pumps $150, Gate Valve $90, 9 Bag quick connects $100. 4 switches $60, 3 stainless thru hulls $45-60, 1 main scoop $30, Then all the little stuff, gate valve reducer $25, Hose, clamps, relay, fuse block, etc

I am going to measure on Saturday when I go to Havasu. If I do not lose interest I will post my list.

I found a factory second on the integrated bow sac for $150, so saved some money there.

I'd love to see the DIY writeup and final costs.

What is a gate valve reducer?

Good call on the stainless through hulls for your discharge. THe plastic ones that came with my system seem to be holding up fine so far...

I do not know what will be faster, the Tsunami 800, or the Johnson Mayfair 1250 for $30 bucks each?

          http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...con&hasJS=true

They are nearly $100 (maybe you can get better with some searching), but the Rule 2000 GPH is the bomb, and seem to be really reliable. Seems like I found it for $65 at a place called Larry's in California.
The mayfair does have that pesky 1 1/8 size hose fitting, but I think it should be worth it to get the extra volume to pump fast.

I hope that doesn't just confuse things for you.

The gate valve is 3 inches. The reducers bolt on to each side of the gate valve to reduce the size of the pipe fittings to the gate valve from the water intake and then to the pumps. The reducers are shown in the picture below. Normally the opening is 3 inches for RV's

Pumps are really still up in the air. Found some Rule 205FC at $38 each. They are 1100 gph. I am still just in the search and plan mode. There is something to be said for buying a kit if it truly was complete.

I know I do not want to have the pumps and wires all over the boat again this year to fill and drain the sacs.

now that I have the rival it's sweet. I love it. Not having bags everywhere is so nice. You have enough stuff already, you don't need the hassle of bags too.

This is the manifold that I will do if I ever do it myself. Check out this thread on Wakeworld: http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/m...21/341405.html

That way you can use the bigger Tsunami pumps instead of the 800GPH. The monster you showed in your pic may not fit anywhere.

My picture was just for showing the gate valve. Manifold will be similar to Rival's. Forgot about that post on Wakeworld. That manifold looks mightly large also. Wondered if he ever finished as I see no other posts updating his progress

This may be obvious (stupid) question but ......... You need 2 pumps per bag right, 1 to fill, 1 to drain. And some sort of checkvalve so the drain pump does not pump back down the vent?

And the manifold above is for the fill pumps to draw off of a single intake scupper?

For those of you going the "home made" route (V's a complete kit), what kind of switch set-up do you have?

                        Thanks guys.

                          yup that's the ticket Chpthril

You could easily make your own manifold using pvc pipe, make it how you want and to fit your boat. That's all my rival is.

Let's see if I can describe the switches on mine: they are on - off - on type switches, and I hooked it up so that up is the discharge and down is the fill on the same bag. I would do it the same way if I did it myself. I couldn't find room to put the bigger switches, so I would just use the toggle switches. If I had space, I would use the same type of switches that everything else on the dash is.

3 switches on the existing dash I do not use.(shower, tower lighs and accessory) I am going to use these spots for the 3 ballasts switches and then add a toggle switch for the gate valve. Or least that is my plan
