Key point is my wife loved it. I set the speed and she dropped the handle and she only had to keep the boat straight. The speed set destroys MC's version of PP that they use. It is better than PP that I have used as well. Over all the new gage cluster is very easy to read gives you a ton of info. The only thing missing is a clock, but I never want to know the time while I am in the boat.
our clock is the sunset when that hits we get in our last sessions

I just wish there was a way to retrofit those guages into the older boats. Course with the computer control it's impossible (well to me) but it would be nice to update areas of the boat to keep it looking current.

We always ride until dark and in the dark sometimes. We never turn on our lights until the end of the last run. If we turn on the lights with a rider we are admiting guilt.

yea its illegal to ride after dark...i think(st.louisian please help with this) but we really ride until late sunset ya know ive always wanted to ride under the moonlight like a 3 in the moring because we have late nights like that a lot or a early morning ski right at/before dawn whats it like...any different??

Actually decided to get an 07 boat vs a remaining 06 primarily due to the new dash and speed set. Am told the 07 vinyl is different as well. Didn't pay alot of attention but I believe it felt softer.
Was in an 07 Ve and RZ, they both had the new dash/cluster set up, realy cool.

The vinyl is not only softer, but I thought the foam was a bit softer than my 06. Really nice.

Never tow a skier at night. It is both hazardous and illegal.

Thats what the Missouri state water patrol says on the subject.

The new tige dash is gross. The designers must have left the dash till last and just threw in a big block of plastic and stuck gauges on them. As far as the speedset everyone that I know says it is well below the standards set by perfectpass .

Like I said before, I had my doubts about the new dash, but once I saw it in the water and with power to it, I warmed up to it nicely.

Glad to know the center alluminum piece is not giving any problems with reflected light.

Perfect Pass is so overrated. Think about what it does - it senses the speed and makes automatic adjustments to the throttle to keep the speed the same. Incredibly simple. It only costs so stupid much because it IS the best thing since sliced bread. The Tige Speed Set worked perfectly when I test drove an RZ2. I put in a speed and it went that fast. It was easy to set up and it did what it was supposed to do. How can perfect pass be better?

Settings stored permanently for multiple riders comes to mind.

The only reason Tige went with there own system is because they will keep all the money instead of giving the money to perfectpass. The four people I know with speedset three went back to perfectpass (and were never so happy) and the fourth is in the process. They biggest problem was for surfing it hunts all over the place for the right speed.

My accuset works great, and so did the speedset on the RZ2 that I drove (same one as Talltigeguy). The only "hunting" is when you dont drop the hammer after is takes over.

                            Strider,

I would be willing to bet those were all on 06's. I have heard that complaint, and it seems Tige's first version was a true screwup. The new TIge speedset is supposed to have those kinks worked out, and during my test drive it worked flawlessly, better than my Perfect Pass, because you can simply put the throttle all the way down and the boat will not overshoot the speed like perfect pass does.

Sometimes my wife will get me wakeboarding 35 MPH before the Perfect pass can catch up to her and slow things down.

All I know is will let sombody else work out the bugs. I stick with 10 years or more experince in speed control then one with one year full of mistakes!

I didn't get a lot of time to mess with mine this year, but did you play around with any of the settings in the Perfect Pass? They're supposed to make a world of difference.
